Senior Technical Manager (Mortgages Platform)

Remote (with travel to London and South-West England)

Change Digital Recruitment is seeking a Senior Technical Manageron behalf of a well-established UK retail bank with a trusted and recognisable brand. This organisation provides retail and commercial banking services and maintain a high street network aswell digital and telephony banking channels.

The position of Senior Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical functionality of the bank’s mortgages platform. This new role is part of the bank’s Core Banking Platforms function and reports into the Head of Mortgage Platforms. TheSenior Technical Manager is responsible for leading a team to manage, improve and drive the utilisation of the Mortgages platform and the data that is extracted from within it.

This role is a leadership position with responsibility for leading the technical team which is comprised of development and technical staff based in the Southwest of England as well as a 3rd party offshore resource. The role can be performed remotely withthe expectation that as a Senior Manager they will regularly travel to collaborate with the team and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include
- Manage and support the strategy and road map for the Mortgage platforms, acting as an SME to advise on the functions, appropriate tools and mechanisms to drive future changes
- Manage and support the design, including architecture, build and implementation of new Mortgage requirements.
- Manage the Mortgages technology teams including MSO, Servicing platforms and integration technologies, documenting as required
- Deliver forecasts and trend analysis to identify further areas for improvement and cost reduction
- Continually scan the external environment to understand the use and importance of new technologies appropriate to data platforms and data extraction

Experience and skills required
- Previous experience of working on Core Banking Platform related to mortgages
- Strong leadership and man management skills
- A relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in systems like MSO (IRESS) and UFSS (Unisys) and an understanding of SOA and Mainframe technologies
- Ability to work / cut across full stack (back end, middleware and front-end)
- Hands on Technical expertise in financial crime technologies

This role can be based anywhere in the UK with the expectation that there will be regular travel to collaborate and engage with team members and stakeholders from within the organisation
