**The Team**

Within HMRC’s Chief Digital & Information Office (CDIO), Service Management & Operations (SM&O) are accountable for the end-to-end service for HMRC’s IT Systems & Services, and our focus is on ensuring consistent, excellent Customer Experience.

We work with hardworking, upbeat people who grow with the challenge of delivering transformation on a huge scale, and who already have real hands-on experience of driving through both technical and business changes.

The role is part of our Supplier Management Team within Assurance and Governance. Supplier Management ensures effective use of third-party services by establishing a common approach to sourcing strategy and managing supplier relationships - and by maintaining a single point of control over the active planned supplier contracts and services.

We work closely with the other platform groups and our focus is on ensuring consistent, excellent Customer Experience.

**Job description**:
As a Supplier Management Associate, you will be the backbone of the Supplier Management Team with organisation, prioritisation and time management skills being critical to this role. Responsible for supporting the Team Leader and 3 Supplier Managers with their administration and reporting tasks.

Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll focus on supporting the team to manage our suppliers, dealing with queries effectively and efficiently. Working closely with Operational Management, Commercial and Legal teams, and key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for all administration activities related to our Monthly Operational Performance Boards for our strategic suppliers, ensuring Boards run smoothly.

As the teams' first point of contact, being able to communicate effectively and professionally is key, both verbally with stakeholders and when delivering presentations, and in writing when compiling communications and reports.

Working in our dynamic and demanding environment, you will require strong delivery focus, detailed analytical skills and must deliver value added insight and recommendations on how to make improvements and achieve results.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to the Supplier Management team
- Planning, coordinating, and supporting Monthly Operational Performance Boards
- Support the development and running of the Supplier Management Practice
- Develop and maintain the Supplier Management SharePoint site
- Act as first point of contact for all requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Carry out effective tracking and reporting of key Supplier Management activities
- Undertake tasks supporting the management of Supplier related Risks and Issues
- Offer practical solutions to problems encountered to allow stakeholders to provide an effective service

**Essential Criteria**
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office tools
- Administration experience
- Experience in creating and developing reports
- Excellent organisational and time management skills enabling you to meet deadlines
- Able to adapt quickly to changing needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Confidence in working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail and a drive to provide top notch service

**Desirable Criteria**
- ITIL understanding
