We are an expanding and innovative waste recycling company looking for a hardworking, committed and dedicated individual to join our team as a factory operative.

This position involves working as part of a small team on an innovative production line producing “A” standard board from a blend of recycled materials. The position will have a number of tasks attached to it including blending of materials prior to production, quality control and packaging finished product.

The Factory Operative will report to the head of production.

A passion for recycling and knowledge of plastic would be advantageous.

Responsibilities and Duties
- To ensure that you are on the factory floor on or before your start time
- To operate the production machinery in accordance with operational orders set down
- To operate as a team member to reach production targets of 4 boards per hour of top quality A’s
- To operate machinery in a safe manner in line with the law and company procedures
- To maintain housekeeping to a very high standard
- To wear the correct PPE at all times.
- To number each board in accordance of the procedure
- To be able to fault find and rectifying if possible, reporting in the correct way via the hazard log if not.
- Understanding all materials and their usage
- To perform all reasonable tasks as directed

**Qualifications**:
Essential - Good understanding of English

Essential - Good understanding of Maths

Desirable - First Aid

Desirable - Manual handling

Desirable - Knowledge of the recycling industry

Personal Characteristics

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday - 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
