**About the Company**:
A respected market leader within the KBB/DIY sector, who have experienced rapid growth over the last 10 years are looking to strengthen their senior management team with the key recruitment of a Sales Director/ Managing Director Designate

**About the role**:
This role is critical to the sustainable growth and ultimate success of the business within the next decade and key points are;
- To achieve monthly and annual sales targets by range, unit and value as defined in the Annual Budgeting process.
- To achieve these within the budgeted gross margins required.
- To direct, develop and generally manage the sales force in order to achieve the above objectives in the most cost-effective way and to monitor their performance on a regular basis.
- To expand the company’s sales network and develop such new accounts as may be agreed within the Corporate policy.
- Responsible for the overall sales management of specific* National Accounts, Distributors, Independent Merchants, Contractors, Developers, Local Authorities and OEM.
- To submit regular reports as required by the Managing Director on our overall field sales activity and to provide sales analysis documentation to enable the MD to be fully informed on the Company performance against established targets.
- To direct and control the planning and implementation of fairs and exhibitions and other such promotional activities (with collaboration with our Marketing team) as may be undertaken within budget.
- To actively contribute towards further development of the Company through New Product launch activity, revisions to our pricing and discount structure etc., and to approve, sign and date the latest Terms of Trading for our major customers.

**About the individual**:
The incumbent will have a demonstrable track record of success in;
- Strong understanding of specification customers along with the market dynamics and requirements.
- Strategic Sales Leadership
- Strategic business & proposition development
- Preferably with a strong technical sales-oriented background.
- Experience with all relevant software packages.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining sales and marketing strategies to meet the organisation’s objectives.
- This is a home-based role but with a willingness to travel and work independently or with other members of the sales team throughout the UK.
