**Job overview**:
The Research Team have secured additional funding to advertise this one year fixed term role, also open to secondment.

The main purpose of the job is to provide support for National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio adopted projects. The role will involve supporting and assisting Research Nurses and Clinical Studies Officers with study related procedures as delegated and required.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Organise and support regular meetings, transcribing and compiling documents for circulation, entering appointments into NHS Mail Calendars.
- Responsible for accurate database maintenance including inputting and extracting data.
- Retrieve radiology and laboratory reports/data as requested by other team members.
- Under guidance from the lead for the study, compile a site file for each trial ensuring all documents stored within it are up to date and the correct current version.
- Under guidance from the senior research staff, complete archiving and destruction of all study documentation as per regulations.
- Compile patient folders with consent form, page front, patient information sheet and Case Record number and file appropriately.
- To undertake general office duties on behalf of the team such as Word processing, filing, faxing, photocopying, scanning and taking accurate telephone messages.
- Send GP letters informing that their patient has been recruited in a trial.
- Assist in sending trial assessment forms to the trial office.
- Send appointment letters to patients.
- Arrange travel for meetings/conferences for the Research Team.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a robust office system.
- Responsible under direction of the research manager for petty cash
