Junior Estimator

**Maximus Solutions **is currently looking for a **Assistant Estimator** to join a thriving team in Canterbury. This opportunity will be to join a growing sub-contractor who have projects ranging from £2000 to £2 million. This role has a clear progression path and multiple projects in the pipeline.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reviewing tender documents, collecting quotations from subcontractors & suppliers.
- Utilising specialist estimating software to determine material costs and BOQs
- Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project
- Write up final quotations for clients and follow up where appropriate
- Ensure the internal CRM system is regularly updated
- Keeping budgets of live jobs
- Carrying out site visits/meetings
- Measurements/take off building materials quantities, produce schedules and preparation of quantities for the use in the procurement process.
- Assist in the evaluation of payments to be made to sub-contractors, consultants and suppliers. Prepare and co-ordinate labour only payments.
- Secure place on tender lists with new and existing clients

**Requirements**:

- 2 years experience within the construction industry
- Effective communication skills are essential
- Must be able to read and understand technical drawings with high attention to detail
- Good Microsoft skills
- Knowledge of estimating software e.g. Bluebeam/Active Take-off
- Ability to work from own initiative
- Ability to manage time to ensure that tight deadlines are met
- Full driving license

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
