Dream Big Independent Living supports young people towards independent living through supported accommodation.

We are currently looking for a Manager / senior support worker committed to providing an excellent level of support for our young people. We are looking for people who are self - motivated, enthusiastic, assertive in difficult situations and has a solidbackground of engaging with challenging young adults with complex needs.

They will demonstrate the ability to build on the values and ethos of the service as well as being able to keep up to date with current and upcoming changes in legislation.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Manage risks appropriately and effectively and de-escalate risky and challenging situations within the home
- Develop a structured programme of key work sessions based upon the young person’s individual support needs in accordance to their care plans.
- Provide supervision to support workers, supporting them with their own personal development and embedding a culture within the service that challenges and rewards workers to contribute the highest standards of support to young people.
- Working with external agencies to ensure young people remain protected and be the main point of contact for multi-disciplinary teams and other relevant agencies.
- Oversee all new admissions and ensure that all new young people are provided with a thorough induction as per our Induction process.
- Attend and contribute to LAC review meetings and any other meetings as directed by senior management.
- Ensure progress Reports, core assessments, and other reports are completed to a good standard making sure these are sent to relevant professionals and others, within agreed time scale.
- Be responsible for the safeguarding of the children within the service whilst adhering to current policies and procedures.
- Organization of team meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date both manual and electronic records and databases.

**What we expect from you**:

- Relevant qualifications - Health and Social Care, Youth Offending, education or management.
- Experience working either as a Semi-Independent Home Manager or senior support worker
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to a car. ( not essential)
- Experience of Social Services and Local Authorities, and also must have sound knowledge and understanding of Ofsted and current legislations.
- A high regard for young people with the ability to relate successfully to individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and to manage conflict situations.
- A commitment to the best outcomes for young people.
