**Criminal Justice Recovery Navigator**

Our specialist services include substance use, clinical, employment training and education, housing services, housing support and health, young people, and families’ services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Navigator with a Criminal Justice focus to join our passionate and enthusiastic team. As a Recovery Navigator, you will work in a multi-disciplinary approach, collaborating with partner agencies such as the Police, Probation, the Learning and Diversion team, Prisons, and others to provide a tailored response to meet the individual needs of service users within a variety of Criminal Justice and Community settings.**This position is a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, however, as a large organisation with a nationwide presence. Additional opportunities may arise upon completion of the contract**

**This is a full-time permanent role, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, there may be a requirement to work an occasional evening until 7pm, however, this can be discussed.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Empower service users to make positive changes by providing a targeted approach, from harm reduction and brief interventions to structured treatment.
- Work closely with partner agencies to ensure comprehensive support for service users.
- Take a holistic "whole person" approach, addressing all areas of wellbeing to achieve the best possible outcomes for individuals.
- Tailor each recovery journey to the individual's priorities, ensuring support is personal, flexible, and realistic.
- Demonstrate belief in our service users and their ability to make positive changes, even when they may doubt themselves

**About you**
- No prior experience in this field is essential, but applicants must demonstrate an understanding of the wider issues surrounding substance misuse.
- Some understanding of the criminal justice system is preferred.
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of others and promoting positive change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users and partner agencies.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals seeking support.
