Technical Lead

QuadCorps are looking for a technical lead on a contract basis in order to support a new feature team in developing and delivering a greenfield open-banking payment solution for a well-known financial institution.

The Tech Lead will operate in a majority hands-off role on a largely remote basis. Supporting their team wherever they need help from both a technical and leadership perspective.

Ideally an articulate and outspoken leader with demonstrable experience within finance and payments; the Tech Lead will be the voice of their team throughout the company, working with technical leaders to define, establish and sign-off quarterly goals and aspirations in-line with new feature requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who is able to take a high-level view of their team, and effectively delegate tasks and guide engineers and techies to complete the hands-on aspects of the project to a world-class standard.

Project overview

As part of an established team of Developers, Testers, DevOps Engineers and project managers, the Tech Lead will plug in to a new feature project. Leading their team from concept to delivery, before moving on to a brand new feature build.

Following an Agile project management methodology called SAFE - The wider technical arm of the business is broken up into “value streams” - This team in particular will be working on delivering an Open Banking feature which will be rolled out across the entire business. Gaining top-class experience and skills that can be transferred into any financial business.

It is critical that the Tech Lead is a vocal representative of their team, taking the lead in helping their team think about new approaches to problems, and providing different perspectives in order to get the best out of their team.

We would love it if you
- Have strong experience using Java in a commercial setting
- Are able to demonstrate project experience with Kubernetes
- Have worked with Azure Devops tools
- Have AWS experience
- Can show proven work with Microservices
- Have an inherent understanding of Authentication and Authorisation protocols
- Have an understanding of API gateways

- Experience with Oracle products
- Kafka experience in a commercial setting
