**Warehouse/ Yard Operative**

**Job Role**: Looking for people to work in a fast paced uniform and work wear warehouse, completing general yard duties and keeping it clean.

Holiday: All Accrued.

Shift Pattern**:Monday
- Friday| 7.00am-4.00pm.**

Pay Rate**:£12 an hour.**

As a Yard Operative, your responsibility is to ensure that the yard and hub is organised and tidy, following all health and safety guidelines. You will be receiving materials in and despatching goods out in line with company policies and procedures. You will work closely with the production team to ensure clear and consistent communication is delivered.

**Some of your duties and responsibilities include**:

- Operating a FLT Counterbalance
- Stock rotation based on a first in, first out process
- Loading & un-loading vehicles, and documenting stock movements correctly
- Checking and servicing equipment that is returned off-hire, ensuring that this equipment is functional and to a suitable standard to be re-hired
- General warehouse duties
- To ensure that vehicles are loaded to both company procedures, policies & legal transport regulations
- To ensure that all stock and equipment is serviced, maintained, and packaged in accordance with a planned maintenance schedule
- Work is conducted inside and outside
- Take a pro-active approach to organise the stock to maintain stock integrity and increase picking efficiencies across all work streams
- Keeping the workspaces in the warehouse clean and tidy
- Compliance to H&S / Quality regulations and procedures to ensure the safety of you and other site personnel
- To undertake any other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy customer needs
- To fully contribute towards the overall safe and successful business performance and growth of the division including the company’s overall goals to business improvement

**Personal attributes will include**:

- FLT licence Counterbalance
- FLT experience within the last 2 years (Desirable)
- Computer literate (Desirable)
- Have an excellent health & safety and quality systems awareness
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a complex, challenging and fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify and manage change, and constantly challenge the status quo
- Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks
- Ability to assess loads prior to loading (i.e., height for double stacking and weight distribution)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour when required
- Positive attitude
- Team player
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work on own initiative
- Punctual
