Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled picture framer to join our team. We would also consider applicants with proven craft based skills. On the job training will be given to the succesful applicant. You will be responsible for creating custom frames for artwork and ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship.

**Responsibilities**:

- Measure and cut framing materials to precise specifications
- Assemble frames using joinery techniques
- Mount artwork securely within frames
- Select appropriate mount and glass for each piece
- Collaborate with clients to determine framing preferences
- Provide recommendations on frame design and materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety guidelines when operating power tools

**Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Framer or similar role
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques and joinery methods
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of different types of framing materials and their properties
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in other related trades will be considered
- Confidence in dealing with the public and articulate in giving professional advice

We offer competitive pay based on experience and skills. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth within our organization. Staff would be expected to have, or work towards the Fine Art Trade Guild's Commended framer scheme. We may also consider a part time position.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stirling: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Hand tools: 1 year (required)
