The post primarily supports the delivery of a high quality programme designed to significantly improve the achievement of learners who find numeracy difficult - Catch Up® Numeracy - which is a structured one-to-one intervention addressing different components of numeracy. The intervention is grounded in academic research and has proven results where learners can be seen to make more than double the rate of progress than their peers whilst on intervention. Each stage of the intervention is resourced through assessments, a numeracy focus for the individual sessions and monitoring throughout the intervention process. Using this programme we are able to support the numeracy needs of students who have a number age significantly below their numerical age.

Applications from both primary and secondary phase practitioners would be welcomed for this post. Experience working with learners who struggle with numeracy would be an advantage however full training and support will be provided. Hours of work,, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Aylsham High School, part of Aylsham Learning Federation, is consistently one of the highest performing schools in Norfolk. The school is blessed with excellent staff, an outstanding group of students and a wide range of staff well-being initiatives which include discounted leisure facilities and nursery. The support that we enjoy from parents and the wider community is second to none.

If you would like to join a successful and genuinely warm and friendly school with a tremendous community attitude, then we would love to hear from you.
