The Newt in Somerset has ancient woodland, historic gardens and far reaching views. It is a unique destination with Hotel, Spa, Restaurants and much more. Visitors can take a tour of the gardens, deer park and cyder press, dine in the Garden Café and visit our farm shop. Expecting to attract some 150,000 visitors per year, The Newt in Somerset is a vibrant and thriving attraction, animated throughout the seasons by special events, workshops and education programmes.

**Department Description**

**Position Summary**

This is a role for a self-motivated, confident and personable individual with impeccable attention to detail. The role involves supporting the Head of Reservations and overseeing the reservations team; to ensure that all enquiries are responded to accurately, in a timely manner, and pro-actively monitoring upcoming bookings and to ensure that all of our guests have a memorable as well as personal experience, and that every department has the information that they need to continue this upon arrival.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the Head of Reservations
- Oversee the Reservations team
- Ensure accuracy & consistency in all reservation’s communications
- Provide a seamless experience for all guests
- Successfully convert new enquiries
- Manage guest expectations
- Enforce company parameters & cancellation policies
- Ensure data is stored securely

**Skills and Experience**
- Team management skills
- Customer service experience essential
- Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- Personable and clear telephone manner
- Written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Time management and the ability to effectively prioritise workload
- Problem solving skills and innovative thinking
- Previous experience with Opera desirable
- Microsoft office and basic computer skills
