**Job description - the role**
We are looking for a **Skilled Machinist** for a **12 month contract** based in **Solihull** on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs.
**As a Skilled Machinist you will be responsible for**:

- Working to our clients Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high-quality machining and inspection processes across a variety of different components and product families.
- Operating a variety of CNC machines including 9 axis Doosan machining centres with FANUC control.
- Operating a variety of measuring equipment, including, micrometres, plug gauges, and surface finish equipment.
- Correct interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings, written specifications and understanding programmes
- Work within a team to effectively to ensure we hit our customer commitments.
- Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, technical instruction, and asset care.
- An individual who is confident to work alone or part of a team and will strive to achieve delivery commitments.
- Will have a strong awareness of H&S and inspection visual technique.

**Additional**:

- The duration of this Skilled Machinist contract will be working on Nightshift (10pm-6am)
