Site Operative

Part time: 15 - 20 hours per week

Salary Band D (£21638 - £24960) pro rata for part-time

Purpose of the Role Notts Gymnastics Academy is a large club dedicated to providing first class levels of service for our substantial membership. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our team, who can support the efficient day to day running of the facilities and is passionate about ensuring our Academy site is exemplary. The role-holder will have a desire for excellence, look at ways that we can be our best and ensure excellent upkeep of our facility, implementing efficient and purposeful systems to support our daily workings. A flexible approach to work will be required to adapt to the needs of the Academy, which on occasion may involve a change in hours at short notice and some weekend working.

Buildings & Grounds
- Carry out a programme of cleaning and stocking supplies, undertaking ad hoc repairs and maintenance work as required by the Premises Officer.
- Clean high traffic areas such as carpets, floors, office and toilets sometimes to a tight timescale **Ensure that work is completed to specified high standards, meets deadlines, and complies with safe working practices.**:

- Ensure both the interior and exterior grounds are kept in a clean and tidy condition (i.e., paths, drains, gullies, car park, access routes), including managing the collection and disposal of refuse.
- Carry out work to always ensure safe access & egress to/from the building including adverse weather conditions.
- Porter duties to include arrangement and movement of large items around the Academy site.
- Receive, record, and distribute deliveries and deal with accident spillages.
- Support the development of ideas for the betterment of the Academy site, carrying out necessary and relevant works in line with this.
- Deal with external contractors visiting the site.
- Champion health and safety around the Academy site

Other Duties
- Responsible for compliance with all BG and NGA policies and procedures including but not limited to Finance, HR, GDPR, Health and Safety and the Standards of Conduct.
- Key holder responsibilities for opening and closing the facility.
- Participate in NGA’s Appraisal Process.
- To communicate clearly & confidently with gymnasts, staff, other users and wider stakeholders.
- Uphold NGA’s Values in everything you do.
- Respect the confidentiality of the role.
- Present a positive image of Notts Gymnastics Academy (NGA) (on and off site) and provide a professional level of customer service to the public by acting in a responsible, welcoming, helpful and professional manner at all times.
- To ensure that all necessary qualifications for the post are maintained and renewed.
- Undertake appropriate training and staff development as required.
- Network and source effective contacts to support the rest of the Academy.
- Be an ambassador for NGA. You must be prepared to:

- Carry out some work outside of normal working hours including weekends, providing some flexibility in the hours worked each day.
- Encourage maximum use of the Academy throughout the year.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Business Manager, Management Committee or Board of Directors, to ensure the smooth running of the Academy.
- Undertake general duties to maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness of all areas, at all times.
- Promote the Health, Safety & Welfare of all users following British Gymnastics / NGA policies & procedures.

Emergencies
- Support the Facility Manager in case of emergencies including burst pipes, leaks, flooding, fires, and breakages as appropriate.
