We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team based in Barnard Castle, County Durham.

As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals in their homes. Your primary role will be to help with daily tasks and ensure a comfortable and safe living environment for our Service Users.

Duties include:

- Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care.
- Assisting with moving and handing, mobility and transfers (training provided).
- Meal preparation
- Administering medication.
- Light household duties, washing up, laundry etc.
- Providing companionship to the Service Users during scheduled visits.
- Assisting with shopping, medication collection or social activities.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in the Service Users condition.

Skills needed:

- Previous experience as a caregiver or home care assistant is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with Service Users.
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: Up to £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 26 per week
