Purpose of Job: To plan and deliver person-centred support to homeless and vulnerable young adults that have been referred to Fledge. Service users are both male and female and aged 18-35.

Main Duties

Work with Residents
- To provide high-quality 1:1 support to service users to enable them to make progress toward their goals.
- To write, implement and review support plans and risk assessments for service users
- To manage safely and effectively any challenging behaviour in line with policies and procedures and to support service users to take responsibility for their actions.
- To encourage resident involvement in all aspects of running the service, facilitating resident meetings and participation.
- To provide advice and support to service users to access information on housing, health, welfare benefits and other areas with which they may need support, advocating for service users when needed.
- To produce, keep and maintain accurate records and reports
- To liaise with relevant agencies such as mental health services, housing departments and other statutory and non-statutory agencies, in meeting the housing and support needs of service users.
- To record and deal with complaints in a timely manner to ensure compliance with Fledge’s Complaints Procedures.

Communication
- To participate in staff meetings and facilitate resident meetings as required
- To work proactively with colleagues to ensure that relevant information is shared and that joint working is undertaken.
- To provide clear information to service users, both written and verbal, in a format appropriate to their needs and level of understanding
- To actively promote Fledge in a positive, professional manner at all times.
- To communicate effectively in line with data protection and confidentiality policies and procedures.

Networking and multi-agency working
In conjunction with Lead Support Worker:

- To work proactively and creatively with volunteers to enhance service delivery.
- To have positive and effective working relationships with other professionals, individuals and agencies.
- To encourage joint working initiatives that would benefit service users and support service delivery

General Duties
- To comply with all relevant legal, statutory and good practice requirements, particularly those set out in the organisation's policies and procedures on health and safety, equality and diversity, lone working, data protection and safeguarding.
- To participate in regular supervision and appraisals and undertake any relevant training as appropriate to the role.
- To work in accordance with the core Christian values of Fledge.
- To model good practice in all aspects of the job role
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate for the success of the post and the project.

It is a general requirement that all staff have the ability to work within and promote the Christian ethos of the project
