Part time Locum Trust Grade Appointment (at ST3+) level in Genitourinary Medicine in Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Integrated Sexual Health Service.

Main duties of the job

Participation in HIV and Sexual health MDTs and involvement in post graduate and undergraduate training and education within the department.

The job includes a 1 in 5 (reduced pro rata for LTFT) weekend on-call cover for HIV/GUM, which is non-resident and low intensity.

Working for our organisation

The service as a whole sees around 35 000 patients per year, at main Hub clinics at the City Hospital and Victoria Health Centre with 20+ community sites throughout the city and southern boroughs. The HIV service numbers around 1200 patients and is provided at City Hospital.

ISHS provides all levels of contraceptive and STI care, including complex implant removal and coil removals, level 3 STI care and a variety of health promotion work. There are specialist clinics in genital dermatology, recurrent infection, complex contraception and complex PrEP. There is a co-located HIV service and a psychosexual medicine service. The service has an active research profile and currently runs a weekly research clinic in addition to recruiting to a number of national and international trials.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
- Full GMC registration with licence to practice
- MBBS or equivalent
- Full ALS certification

Desirable criteria
- MRCP

Communication and relationship skills

Essential criteria
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Good standard of written English

Experience

Essential criteria
- Wide range of recent experience in clinical medicine in an acute hospital setting
- Evidence of completion of key competencies equivalent to CT level or above

Desirable criteria
- Post graduate qualification in sexual health (eg DFSRH, STIF, Loc IUD or SDI)
- 4months or longer experience working in sexual health

Analytic and Judgement skills

Essential criteria
- Experience of participation in clinical audit

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
