Relationship Associate

As a Relationship Associate working within the team in the UK, you will be responsible for directly supporting a client portfolio for the UK market. The role will work alongside a Client Relationship Manager who has additional responsibilities and commercialaccountability for client relationships.

You will need to show initiative and be able to work on your own without difficulty and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you will be a strong team player, methodical in your work and with a proactive approach. Amongyour other attributes will be a strong sense of client service.

The business is growing with strong client and commercial ambitions - this role is key in the next stage of that development. You will be instrumental in supporting the UK business with local colleagues by offering a consultative and forward-thinking approachthat complement the traditions and expectations of the group.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Taking a proactive role in monitoring and supporting a portfolio of UK / Ireland based Wealth Managers - referred to internally as independent asset managers (IAMs), and in particular:

- Establishing and maintaining relationships based on trust.
- Employing the very highest standards of asset servicing in line with our brand and culture.
- Developing deep connectivity and ensuring a partnership approach operationally.
- Supporting regulatory changes that impact both the Company and IAMs
- Visiting clients on a regular basis.
- Implementing risk-management measures and ensuring that the instructions issued are adhered to.
- Understanding in detail the operational processes of the business line to open accounts, manage query resolution, efficiently complete client requests - all within the context of acting as a custodian for each underlying client.
- Boosting the profitability of the client portfolio by ensuring we have covered every aspect of our clients operating model. This will be achieved by understanding where we can add value to the intermediary IAM and identifying possible opportunities suchas Portfolio Management System integration etc.
- Working together with different departments and also with the other IAM units.
- Assisting with organising marketing events and broadly navigating the market with a focus on positioning our IAM proposition with local business development teams and our UK stakeholders.

**The role requires**:

- Well established industry experience looking after/developing a UK client base (either IAMs or private clients).
- Knowledge of asset services with a key focus on Custody and ancillary services.
- University degree in Economics or Finance or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in hand-holding clients navigate their service provider on behalf of their end clients is essential.
- Sound knowledge of financial markets and of the different investment categories.
- Complete fluency in English with knowledge of French a distinct advantage.
