Deputy Housekeeping Manger

Manpower Recruitment are looking for a Full Time, Permanent Deputy Housekeeping Manager, based in Oxford City Centre.

This is 40 hours per week and flexibility will be needed with hours, as weekend work will be needed for buisines needs at times.

The role is paying £30000pa.

This housekeeping team comprises of
- 10 cleaners, 3 logistics personnel and one supervisor. The position will deputise for the Housekeeping Manager in her absence and liaise regularly with our Accommodation and Conferences teams during the summer.

The role holder will already have several years' demonstrable experience of supervising/managing staff, ideally within a hospitality setting and possess a basic understanding of administrative systems.

This position does require flexibility of working hours. Some weekend work will be required

Key Objectives To supervise staff to ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all tenanted areas, bedrooms, corridors, meeting rooms, offices and public areas throughout the college at all times
- Organise and supervise the daily cleaning of all assigned areas to ensure they are cleaned to the highest standards.
- Ensure staff are aware of any failures in service and that shortcomings are rectified as soon as possible.
- Visit all cleaning staff and Housekeeping Facilitators on a regular basis, ensuring they are working as scheduled and following safe working practices.
- Collate daily work sheets, documenting and reporting any failures in service and maintenance issues, before filing.
- Ensure adherence to the recycling programme ensuring that as much waste material as possible is recycled.
- Assist Housekeeping Manager with recruitment of permanent staff.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and experience in operating booking systems is required.
