Job Title: Groundworker (5 Positions)

Location: Ballymoney, Northern Ireland

We are currently seeking a team of motivated Groundworkers to join our team in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland. As a Groundworker, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring the successful preparation and groundwork for a range of structures. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Site Preparation**:

- Clearing and leveling sites for construction projects.
- Excavating and grading the ground to the required levels.
- **Foundation Work**:

- Assisting in the installation of foundations, including digging trenches and preparing footings.
- **Drainage Systems**:

- Installing and maintaining drainage systems, including pipes and sewer connections.
- **Paving and Surfacing**:

- Laying concrete, asphalt, or other materials for roads, paths, and driveways.
- Operating machinery for the laying and finishing of surfaces.
- **Utilities Installation**:

- Assisting in the installation of utility services such as water, gas, and electricity.
- **Concrete Work**:

- Mixing and pouring concrete for foundations, footings, and other construction elements.
- **Collaboration**:

- Working closely with the construction team, including builders, contractors, and supervisors.
- Following instructions and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise work.
- **Equipment Operation**:

- Operating a variety of construction equipment, including excavators, compactors, and concrete mixers.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines on the construction site.
- Reporting any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Groundworker in construction is essential.
- Familiarity with a variety of construction equipment and tools.
- **Skills**:

- Proficient in excavation, leveling, and groundwork techniques.
- Ability to interpret and follow construction plans and blueprints.
- **Physical Fitness**:

- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- **Team Player**:

- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a team.
- **Reliability**:

- Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- **Certifications**:

- Valid CSCS card or other relevant certifications.

**Experience**:

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (preferred)
