Our client is a prestigious manufacturing business in the heart of West Yorkshire who as part of their continued success seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to effectively supervise a production team on a shift rotating basis.

As Production Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day management of employees within your area to ensure the company’s targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring that employees comply with health, safety and standardoperating procedures. To be committed to health and safety and ensure employees are trained in all safe systems of work.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Run the line to achieve the targeted quality standards, targeted speeds and production efficiency standards.
- Responsibility for the health and safety of team members within your area of supervision, including ensuring safety systems, machine guarding are in place and in correct working order, job roles are filled with fully trained staff, ensure, where required,PPE is correctly worn at all times.
- Support in the development and improvement of safe systems of work.
- Report all quality issues that may arise and proactively support the shift manager
- Achieve standards and production efficiency.
- Motivate your team to create a high performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced.
- Ensure the quality of production meets the appropriate specification
- Completion of paperwork when required including ‘start up and guard checks’ ensuring all necessary safety precautions are in place and recorded and report any issues.
- Manage team to perform house keeping and safety tasks.
- Communication of deadlines
- Ensure all external and internal auditory standards and improvement requirements are met.
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Monitor the performance of team members by setting and reviewing goals.
- Developing the team through effective training and management.
- Recruit and train staff and ensuring that the department is appropriately resourced to deal with fluctuations in sales volumes/ seasons.
- Planning and organising self and others to accomplish specific goals.
- Ensure teams are supported cross-functionally in order to achieve their objectives.
