**ABOUT US**

Avensys are one of the UK’s leading Bio-Medical Engineering companies, supplying and maintaining medical equipment as well as providing training to the nations (and in some cases beyond) Bio-Medical Engineers. **ABOUT YOU**

Whilst Avensys is a professional company, we’re also friendly and personable. We’re looking for someone who embodies our values and can communicate effectively with customers and colleagues alike. To be successful in this role, you must have previous payroll experience and have the ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced environment.

We are looking for someone with a keen attention to detail and a real team player. You will be part of the finance team undertaking this role, whilst also working alongside HR. Database and payroll systems experience is essential with an ability to run payroll reports and analyse the data. Up to date knowledge of legislation affecting payroll in the UK would be advantageous. Payroll qualification (CIPP) would be a desired requirement of the role or we are happy if you are qualified by experience and can demonstrate this throughout the interview.

**THE ROLE**

Ensuring that the monthly payroll for the company is processed accurately each month and on time. Manage monthly payroll processes including payment of salaries, commissions, overtime, bonus, allowances and SMP, SSP, SPP, SAP.
- Responsible for reconciliation and settlement of PAYE, NIC and other deductions.
- Ensure key controls are robust and adhered to.
- Liaise with outside agencies (HMRC, DWP and local authorities). - Distribution of monthly e-payslips.
- Manage payroll tax tasks including P45s, P60s, P11ds and monthly HMRC reporting.
- Processing of starters/leavers/amendments/general maintenance. - Attachment of Earnings Orders.
- RTI and Pension Auto-Enrolment, monthly EPS report.
- Advise the HR department of employees who have exhausted Company sick pay or SSP.
- Providing payroll management reports and ad hoc reports.
- Reviewing internal processes and systems, recommending improvements, and implementing those improvements.
- Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.

**THE TERMS**

**Salary**: £30,000 (Pro-rated)

Contract Term: Maternity Cover (Fixed Term) Part time hours of Work: 15-20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Happy to discuss days and hours during the interview process.

Annual Leave: 23 days holiday full time allowance and bank holidays (rising with service to a maximum of 27 days).
