Vascular Admissions Clerk

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Vascular service as an Admin Clerk.
In your new role you will be responsible for the efficient management and booking of the allocated specialty theatres, monitoring the waiting list, and maintaining government targets in accordance with the Patient Access Policy.
You will be required to work unsupervised and on their own initiative, as well as working as part of team with clinical, management and clerical staff to deliver the highest standards of administrative support possible for patients, hospital staff and any other person their duties bring them into contact with.
Your role will be to take a lead role in the booking of the theatre lists across the Vascular network,liaising with consultants in confirming which patients to book and ensuring that theatre lists are fully utilised and that all booking systems are kept up to date.
You will schedule elective admission, contacting patient offering them admission dates and agree with them the date of admission and make appointments for patients’ pre-assessment for surgery, in-line with the patient’s needs, or as directed by medical/clinical staff guidance.
You will be required to attend weekly theatre scheduling meetings and confirm lists are fully booked, to work with the team in relation the PTL ensuring that waiting lists are correct and validated and locate and request case notes as required and check for information regarding admissions
