Millyard Peoples is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a global company based in the Central Belt of Scotland, to recruit an Associate Director of Transactional Finance. This job is a newly created opportunity that has come about due to the continued growth and expansion of business.

Based in Edinburgh, our client is the key provider of financial information across globally, across multiple legal entities. The Associate Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the transactional teams based in Edinburgh providing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll support ensuring continuous improvement of people, processes, and systems within the function to ensure optimal performance and business support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance leader who has experience of leading a shared service finance team or leading an operational finance team, to join a growing global business and continue the development and growth of a critical business function.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable and Payroll functions
- Develop and report Key Performance Indicators on SLAs with a focus on providing higher quality service as well as transparency to the internal customers
- Manage timely and accurate delivery of actual financial information for European based trading entities and holding companies
- Balance Sheet and Working Capital Management ensuring cashflow and working capital targets are achieved in the AP and AR areas
- Support Treasury Operations activities as they relate to the shared service centre activities
- Management of relationships with both internal and external auditors
- Lead transactional teams through finance and business change projects - business integrations, transitions, new systems implementation
- Lead the rollout of a global payroll solution
- Maintain effective operation of the financial control environment
- Experience operating in a finance leadership position in a shared services environment or involved in an operational finance function from the “ground up”.
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, ACMA) or strong experience in a similar role, those “qualified by experience” will be considered
- Strong accounting skills and proven leadership experience in a hands-on transactional environment
- Ability to meet tight deadlines as well as being customer focused and proactive

- Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and approachable style to the business in line with the overall Group culture and possess a resilience to cope with unexpected change in an ever-evolving environment
- Bring experience of engaging, communicating, and presenting to senior executives within a corporate organisation and the ability to explain complex financial information in a concise and simple manner
- Have a flexible approach to leadership and be comfortable supporting individual team members, adopting a hands-on approach when necessary
