**Job description**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Flexible Resource Team. This highly adaptable team exists specifically to respond to planned and unexpected changes in Departmental priorities or surges in work. We are looking for people who thrive on variety, manage change well and will be flexible in undertaking different work assignments. This may, if necessary, include accommodating reasonable changes (taking personal circumstances into account) to when and where they work.

The Flexible Resource Team Administrative Officer will be deployed on medium to high volume, low complexity work that is easily predictable such as seasonable spikes in activity. They will be working for a newly formed team in a fast paced, flexible environment.

**Person specification**:

- We are looking for people who will help us deliver excellent customer service in a newly formed team.
- You will need to work collaboratively, effectively and flexibly within a team and contribute towards team development and expectations.
- You will communicate clearly and concisely and provide accurate information to a wide range of customers respecting diversity at all times.
- You will also navigate our computer systems making changes to account information and ensuring customers’ payments are correct.
- You must be able to competently use the telephone as this is the primary means of customer contact through a combination of both inbound and outbound calls.
- You will also influence/negotiate where required to successfully resolve queries and difficult/sensitive situations and must remain composed and professional in what can sometimes be a challenging environment.
- Demonstrating effective communication skills, treating customers and colleagues with respect and taking personal responsibility to deliver excellent customer service is also key.

**Reserve List**
The reserve list will be held for a minimum of 6 months. The reserve list may be used to offer future vacancies as well as being used to offer future opportunities which may arise across the wider DWP network. Offers would be made in strict merit order.
