James Jones & Sons Ltd is one of the UK's largest and most progressive timber companies with core activities in sawmilling, I-Joists and pallet manufacture. With twenty-five sites throughout the UK, we operate seven sawmills, an engineered wood manufacturing plant in the North of Scotland and pallet and packaging operations at 16 sites across the UK. We produce high quality, British grown sawn timber for the construction, pallet, packaging, fencing and agricultural sectors and pallets and packaging for blue chip domestic and exporting businesses. In addition, we are the market leaders in the supply of JJI-Joists to many of the UK’s top house builders.

**The Role**:
We are currently recruiting for 2 Labourers who will progress, with experience, to Production Operators in our busy Sawmill at Kirriemuir. This may suit an individual who has knowledge of machinery or an interest in mechanics. The role involves a high degree of manual handling, lifting, bending and twisting.

**Key Skills/Personal Attributes**:
You should be able to demonstrate the following:

- A team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility/ownership and a positive “can do” attitude
- Be able to adhere to strict Health and Safety requirements
- Ability to communicate and work accurately and effectively with colleagues
- Self-motivated
- Keen attention to detail

Experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage, although full training will be given.

Applicants must be able to provide eligibility to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
