Door Estimator

We are looking to recruit into our Sales & Estimating Department, someone to prepare quotations to customers for the sales of timber security doorsets, fire rated doorsets and screens.
Working within a small team, the main duties will be the preparation of quotations from Customer Enquiries, Architects schedules and specification.

Job Outline:

- Produce full and thorough quotes in response to customer enquiries.
- Communicate directly with customers; including architects, main contractor

understood and included within the quote.
- Identify and understand the requirements of the customer and translate them

into quotations that can be clearly understood by the customer
- Develop the relationship between the Company and its customers.
- Other duties as required for fulfilment of the role.
- Observe all safety rules and procedures, ensuring that the work area,

equipment and materials are left in a safe state; and that reasonable care is
taken for the health and safety of all fellow employees and any other persons
within the work area.
- Full training and guidance to be provided.
- Remote working would be considered.

Essential Requirements
- Good IT, written and interpersonal skills
- High level of numeracy and accuracy
- Knowledge of Microsoft office packages, including Excel and Word
- Be able to interpret and understand technical drawings
- To be able to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or estimating
- Understanding of joinery products
- CAD experience preferable
- Previous quotation experience within door industry
- Previous experience managing customer accounts

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
