**What are we looking for**

Nigel and his team across Hygiene and Site Technical are looking for a Hygiene Team Leader to look after the night team in our Cornwall site near Bugle.

Experience of leading a team is a must for the role, with a real can do attitude to getting things done. If interested, read on and join our friendly team.

This is an industrial hygiene role so experience of heavy industrial cleaning, machine dismantling and reassembly would be useful.

**Specific Tasks**
- Leading the night shift hygiene team
- Monitor and improve the hygiene standards
- Ensuring effective running of team in accordance with production hygiene requirements
- Completion of specific periodical hygiene tasks
- Assist with stock control of hygiene goods and ordering of consumables where required
- Act as point of contact for any hygiene related concerns throughout the night shift
- Issuing and stock management of PPE
- Ensuring full equipment strip downs and deep cleans are carried out to the highest standard
- Implement and maintain management information systems and report KPIs including microbiological standards, effective labour utilisation, stock control management systems, budget management, and cleaning schedules
- Provide leadership and training
- Ensure efficient use of labour, chemicals, tools and equipment
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety programmes
- Provide a safe working environment for hygiene at factory level
- Responsible for the night hygiene and deep cleaning budget
- Responsibility for the in-depth cleaning of all food production machinery, all non-food production equipment, storage equipment including structural surfaces, high level overheads, pipes, lighting & extraction systems
- Management of contractors performing more specialised cleans
- Requirement to be part of the extended food safety auditing team and to work closely with the QA team on day to day issues
- Ability to perform an occasional day shift to ensure regular interactions with key stakeholders

**Relevant Experience**
- Previous experience advantageous in food or drink manufacturing is desirable

**Educational Background**
- A good communicator and relationship builder, capable of developing cross-functional relationships across the business
- Good influencing skills, able to motivate others to improve performance
- Hands-on, highly visible and credible on the factory floor
- Recognised Industry level training inc. COSHH, NEBOSH, IOSH, HACCP, Food Hygiene Certification
- Degree or Diploma level or hands-on experience based equivalence
