**AJ Chambers is working with a well-established, growing accountancy practice based in North West London who are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their Business Information team.**

The firm has been well established trading for 20 years and has approximately 24 staff and has seen significant year on year growth. The firm prides itself on having a modern forward-looking approach and the Business Information team is seeking to recruitan individual who shares the same positive outlook.

**What will the role involve?**
- Working within the book-keeping department, you will be managing a portfolio of clients. Duties include but not limited to providing book-keeping services to clients, right from source documents to the point of preparing the trial balance and subsequentliaison with other teams.
- You will be reconciling multiple bank accounts and processing quarterly and monthly VAT returns. Additionally, you will produce quarterly and monthly Management Accounts.
- You will be using Xero software on a daily basis, alongside add-on apps.
- Providing support and training to clients regarding use of accounting software.
- You will be expected to liaise with managers and partners frequently.
- You will be required to monitor the WIP on your clients and ensure clients are billed as per the company’s policies.
- You will be required to meet with clients alongside other members of the team and maintain the high-quality service.

**What is required from you?**
- Can demonstrate day to day experience working with Xero to produce VAT returns and management reports.
- Can demonstrate a basic knowledge of VAT concepts and tax planning ideas for clients.
- Experience in book-keeping, management accounts and trial balance preparation.
- Ideally 5 years’ experience in book-keeping role, however less than 5 years will be considered.
- Experience of over-looking work produced by Junior staff.
- Previous Accountancy practice experience.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to meet the Director’s needs.
- Good organisational and problem solving skills.
