As the sole IT responsible in the region, but part of our wider IT community, you will deliver and support the full range of IT infrastructure services to all regional locations maximizing uptime for users. As the owner of the IT fleet, you will manage the installation, administration, support and planned replacement cycle of all local and group IT systems and hardware supporting business activities.
With an innovative approach and a growth mindset, you will work with group colleagues and regional stakeholders on the implementation of change initiatives and support our digital transformation to help our colleagues deliver a premium service and experience for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow best practice for asset management, including inventory tracking, lifecycle management, asset identification and disposal procedures.
- Take overriding responsibility for technical administration and authorisation of all local and group IT systems.
- Provide timely management of all access and credential privileges to all authorised regional users
- Install and maintain IT hardware supporting all business activities, ensuring down time is minimised.
- Take overriding responsibility for supporting the efficient use of all mobile and wireless devices and services within the network.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patch management, and antivirus scans, to ensure optimal performance and security of IT infrastructure
- Pro-actively support initial fault diagnosis and management of all fault issues ensuring open and transparent communication throughout.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders on technology-related projects, contributing to the design, implementation, and testing of new systems and solutions
- Collaborate with third party suppliers, vendors and external service providers to coordinate new implementations, system repairs, replacements, and upgrades
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide recommendations for improving IT infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist and support the Dealer & Business Systems Manager to advise Truck Centre regions on IS/IT solution for all business processes
- Provide cover for other UK Regions as & when required.
- Collaborate and maintain strong working relationships with other IT infrastructure specialists and the shared service teams to secure the highest levels of system uptime.
- Continually review systems and processes to ensure robustness and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to IT usage policies and procedures, including data security
- Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by your manager

**Education & Experience**:

- HNC, Degree Qualified or 5+ years’ relevant experience in an IT infrastructure position.
- Extensive experience in communicating at all levels within the organisation.
- Track record in successful implementation of infrastructure & business projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail (for both Windows & Mobile devices).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security
- PC Hardware, LAN/WAN, structure cabling, printing & MS Office 365 proficiency
