**The Opportunity**
We are seeing a weekend Veterinary Care Assistant to support the Cattery at our Hornsey practice. The role involves supplying our feline friends with water, food, some oral medication, cleaning their kennels and ensuring they are well-looked after and loved.

This is a lone working role on Saturday morning and both shifts on a Sunday, working 10 hours per week over the following shift pattern: 09:00am - 12:00pm and 16:00pm - 18:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays

This is a three-month fixed term contract and is entitled to an additional location uplift of 6%.

This role will be National Living Wage if you're aged 21 or over. National Minimum Wage if you're aged under 21

**Role Accountabilities**

In this role you will:

- Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
- Support patients after operations and procedures.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care, including everyday care: walking, toileting and feeding.
- Ensure the completion of all pre and post operation activity.
- Dispense any medication required under the guidance of the Veterinary team.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- You may be required to complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Experience of working as part of a team and building positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Able to provide exceptional care to clients and patients.
- Client care skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Able to prioritise a range of tasks and own workload.
- Flexible and willing to learn.
- An understanding of the purpose and importance of regulation and compliance.
