**Technical Machine Demonstrator/Service Engineer | Nottingham | Monday - Friday | £28,000 - £32,000 basic + overtime per annum**
Established in 2001 our client are the sole UK importers of a wide range of print finishing and packaging machinery. Due to continued growth, the company are looking for a driven, enthusiastic individual to join a busy, friendly technical support team.
The company offers a generous remuneration and expense package along with other benefits. The role will require a motivated and enthusiastic individual, comfortable with travelling extensively (Monday-Friday) around the UK, and occasionally overseas in mainlandEurope, maintaining a highly valued customer base.
You will be demonstrating/installing, servicing, repairing, and training on world leading ranges of print-finishing and packaging machinery.
**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Proficient level of education with relevant technical qualifications together with industry experience for the role
- Minimum of 5 years related production experience in the print or packaging sector
- Must have good operational knowledge of print finishing/packaging machinery
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under their own initiative
- Analytical & critical thinking skills
- Excellent internal & external communication skills at all personnel levels of a business
- Ability to read both electrical/mechanical schematic drawings
- Electrical fault troubleshooting
- Mechanical fault troubleshooting
- Minor/major electrical/mechanical repairs
- Full clean driving licence & the ability to tow a trailer
**What will your role look like?**
- Provision of remote and onsite technical service support to customers, including installation, delivery, preventative maintenance, and repair of the entire range of print and packaging machinery
- Delivering a first-class customer service experience from fault diagnosis to resolution
- Collection of data from appropriate sources to assist in determining a customer’s needs and requirements to resolve technical issues with mínimal downtime
- Lead the technical assessment and provide a satisfactory solution to a mechanical, electrical, or operational fault from our end user customer
- Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies including machine hardware, basic electrical and software fault finding including network remote support
- Delivering expert technical training to customers/channel partners and peers in English
- Management and control of your vehicle stock, to improve first-time fixes to customers, and minimising stock losses
- Building relationships with overseas manufacturers and suppliers, so technical action plans are well understood and executed whilst on a customer’s site
- Visiting customers and working towards elevated levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Support sales activities including machine demonstrations, tradeshows, events, etc
