**Main Tasks**
- Provide expertise to enhance procurement activities, focusing on achieving total cost savings, maintaining quality standards, reducing time to market, and ensuring a robust supply chain for Ipsen.
- Actively engage in vendor relationship management, considering site-specific requirements to optimize value and mitigate risks such as supply chain disruptions, reputation damage, and financial impacts.
- Uphold compliance with procurement policies and relevant regulations, especially during high-pressure situations like FDA remediation plans, without compromise.
- Utilize and advocate for the use of the Risk Assessment Tool for vendors and raw materials to mitigate potential risks to operations and product quality.
- Integrate procurement early into project planning stages, consistently challenging demands, complexities, and internal processes to optimize value, minimize risks, and achieve significant cost reductions.
- Take ownership of implementing and managing the Savings Pipeline in the Operations Savings Management (OSM) system, aligning with Category owners and stakeholders across the organization.
- Facilitate the sharing of procurement best practices among sites and with Global procurement teams to foster continuous improvement and standardization across the organization..

**Experience**
- Lead procurement activities for the direct categories, including but not limited to raw materials, packaging materials and production consumables.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize cost savings, quality, and supplier performance while minimizing risks to the organization.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and leverage market insights for informed decision-making.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Manage supplier relationships, including regular performance evaluations, issue resolution, and collaboration on cost reduction and innovation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and Manufacturing, to align procurement activities with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, including process optimization, supplier development, and implementation of best practices.
