**JOB- Junior Design Engineer**
**LOCATION- Somerset**
**TERM- Permanent**
**SALARY- £25,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience (plus benefits)**
My client manufactures a range of special purpose machinery. They are looking to expand their design team by taking on a Junior Design Engineer to work in their office in Somerset. If you are a recent graduate or have a years’ experience under your belt andare looking to start your career within the engineering field, this role will be ideal for you.
**The Junior Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes**:

- Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc etc.) in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Excellent 3D CAD skills Inventor / SolidWorks or similar
- Understanding of basic mechanical design principals
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Be keen to develop with a company long term
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

**The Junior Design Engineer role will involve**:

- Working within the current engineering team
- Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
- Producing 3D designs using CAD software
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
- Designing machinery from concept through to manufacture using the relevant CAD package (SolidWorks)
