**About the role**

You will provide a service to people aged over 55 who wish to remain as independent as possible within the community in conjunction with housing.

As a relief Livingwell Advisor, you will be expected to work with people to build strong relationships based on trust and reliability; to support the person to live as independently as possible in the way they choose; to keep them safe and promote their health and wellness.

You will be responsible for liaising with appropriate agencies, both internally and externally, to ensure the support, health and care needs of individual customers are identified and addressed and their independence enhanced/maintained.

Your focus will be to ensure that the things that are important to the people we work for are achieved while adopting a risk enablement, empowering approach.

You will facilitate meaningful activities to enable good health and mental wellbeing and promote self-management of such. As an advisor, you will promote the safety, general wellbeing, rights, and choices of customers who live in our Livingwell developments.

You will be required to work across our various developments citywide and work in partnership with housing colleagues to provide a holistic service.

**Who are we looking for?**

Experience of working with vulnerable people and/or life experience in supporting older people or individuals who have learning disabilities, addictions, mental health issues, children and families, tenancy support or homelessness issues.

Good written verbal communication and IT skills are essential to enable a consistent approach within the team.

Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in working with people over 55 is also essential.

You should also be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of monitoring and evaluating a quality framework, whilst ensuring excellent service provision.
