**About the role**

We are recruiting for a Destination Executive on a permanent, full time basis. This is a fabulous opportunity for anyone with some experience in a product, purchasing or commercial role within the travel industry looking to develop their skills and work for one of the UK’s leading tour operators.

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the selection, sourcing, buying, and commercial management of the British Airways Holidays product portfolio to achieve and exceed business targets.

Key accountabilities include:

- Developing the product supply strategy and sourcing approach for designated destinations
- Buying the product to deliver the strategy, ensuring optimal commercial terms
- Ensuring all product meets British Airways Holidays brand standards including quality and health and safety
- Managing supplier relationships to optimise commercial opportunities
- Managing commercial performance of designated destinations including analysing data, reviewing and responding to competitor analysis and monitoring inventory reports
- Identifying opportunities for, and supporting with, the implementation of PR, promotional, and other marketing activity
- Traveling overseas and representing British Airways Holidays at supplier and trade functions

This is a busy role. Our essential criteria for this role are:

- Proven experience in the travel industry in a buying or commercial role
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to analyse data with competent excel skills (including Pivots)
- Ability and willingness to travel and represent the Company at product supply and trade functions
- Hold a full UK driving licence, and have the confidence to drive abroad
- Ability to commute to our Gatwick office, minimum twice weekly or plan to relocate before starting work

Our offices are based just outside Gatwick Airport and we offer hybrid working (within the UK). Generally, this role works from our offices twice a week, with additional days as needed depending on meetings etc. Office days are co-ordinated so that colleagues in the same team are in the office together to collaborate in person. We usually support new colleagues in the office full time for the first four-six weeks** **with us. We offer flexible start and finish times.
