Copywriting Executive

Flamingo Marketing Strategies was founded in June 2019 and has grown from a back-bedroom startup into a budding team of six, working from an office with scenic views just outside Leamington Spa. We are now looking for highly-skilled copywriter to join us in creating informative and high-impact content for our many clients whose marketing activities we are responsible for.

As the Copywriting Executive, your main responsibilities will consist of copywriting, copyediting, and proofreading. You will ensure that all content produced by Flamingo Marketing Strategies is clear, consistent, complete, and credible - with all copy being well-written, grammatically correct, and accessible to the appropriate audiences. You will be responsible for proofing the work submitted by your teammates before they go to the senior team for final sign off.

**About us**

**As a Copywriting Executive, you will need to excel at**:

- Content creation (be able to come up with new ideas for relevant and interesting content and then execute them)
- Copy editing and proofing (to able to read others' work with a high attention of detail to be able to pick up on spelling and grammatical errors to ensure what our clients are seeing is correct)
- Time management and the ability to juggle multiple tasks/client work at once (able to prioritise tasks effectively under challenging - and often competing - deadlines)
- Working as part of a team and used to having to run things by senior members of the team
- Giving helpful feedback (including constructive criticism) to your fellow team mates to help them improve over time and ensure that your suggestions are being actioned

**As a Copywriting Executive, you will need the following**:

- Strong research ability (able to quickly find relevant information/content inspiration across potentially unfamiliar industries) - without using AI
- Expert grasp on the English language (both written and verbal), with a keen understanding of tone of voice and how to edit content to suit particular clients

**It would be desirable, but not necessary, if you have experience with some/all of the following**:

- SEO
- PR
- Video editing
- Graphic design
- Social Media
- Website management (WordPress)

Our website is built on WordPress, as are a number of our clients’. We use Infusionsoft by Keap as our CRM so if you have experience with this, please let us know in your cover letter

**We are looking for a Copywriting Executive with the following experience**:

- 3+ years working as a copywriter/proofreader
- English Literature/Language degree or equivalent
- Strong written English with a passion for writing and a keen eye for detail
- Ideally have some marketing experience (predominantly B2B)
- Reading and amending your own written work and the work of others as a quality check

We are looking to bolster our already superb team of marketers with a copywriter/proofreader who can streamline the process from inception to delivery. Our team (Emma, Chris, Eddy, Joel, Oscar, and Jodie) all work at the office together. We have a great working relationship and regularly celebrate the successes of the company and individuals. - Contract: Full-time, permanent - 6-month probation period
- Holiday allowance: 20 days PLUS bank holidays (loyalty scheme to reach 25 days) PLUS Christmas closedown extra holiday (not taken out of your allowance if targets are met)
