**The Role**

The Supplier Manager will have a direct focus on supplier relationship management and will input into sourcing initiatives for overall process improvement & efficiencies. The position will manage and evolve frameworks and policies around procurement andwill be responsible for ensuring the business selects, onboards and manages suppliers in line with policy, regulation and underpinning contracts.

The position has a strong focus on solidifying relationships with existing suppliers as well as maximising opportunities to ensure business objectives are met for optimal performance. Key duties include-- Have direct responsibility for ensuring our most critical suppliers are being managed in accordance with policies and frameworks
- Manage commercial relationships with suppliers whilst reducing the total cost of acquisition
- Negotiate, implement and maintain supplier agreements and contracts with input from internal stakeholders
- Define and implement the forward-looking strategy and future direction in relation to supplier management ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead regular business reviews and end-to-end negotiations with suppliers
- Achieve optimal purchase prices from the suppliers you’re dedicated to; balancing price with stock investment and delivering on value-extraction targets including product cost reduction

**What you’ll need to succeed**

You will have demonstrable supplier management experience from your Buying or Procurement career to date with a track record of commercial objectives being delivered across supplier efficiencies, cost negotiations and supplier performance improvments.

With a commercial & can do mindset in your working duties you will be a collaborative colleague who can communicate effectively across multiple organisational levels.

The role will suit Supplier Focused Buyer / Senior Buyer or Purchasing Manager looking for a new commercial challenge.
