We are a friendly nursery situated in the heart of Blackheath. We are currently looking for an After School Club Assistant to join our team. This position involves picking up children from nearby schools and offering some homework help to primary school children.

We need a warm, dependable person who can work flexibly. The role involves overseeing meals, keeping things tidy, and helping children with different activities.

The primary objectives of this position are to create a secure and enjoyable play setting for children and assist in their social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional growth through play. This entails making sure that the environment is both safe and stimulating for the children. You will also be involved in planning, preparing, and leading activities that cater to each child's individual requirements. Moreover, you will directly interact with the children who are registered with the club. Finally, you will be responsible for overseeing tea time snacks and ensuring that the children are supervised during this period.

You'll need to follow the safeguarding guidelines and protocols of My and Me Childcare. There may be extra tasks to help the After School Club. Sometimes, you might be asked to help out with younger children in the nursery.

This job is part-time and only available during school terms. There will be more hours available during holidays to help with the Holiday Club.
