**Meter Reader**

**The Client**

Our client provides essential water and waste water services across a number of water frameworks in the UK. They operate in dynamic and ever-changing environments across the water and wastewater sector and currently have a permanent role available for an experienced Meter Reader in the South West region. The company is focused on delivering cost effective sustainable leakage reduction through analysis and investigation of water usage and the promotion of leaks and/or identification and logging of usage to ensure the company meets its leakage performance commitment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Meter Reading**

Providing accurate and timely water meter reads across our clients’ portfolios, updating current records and recording these on our in-house software system. There may be the requirement to travel around the UK as and when workload dictates.

**Water Auditing**

Following training where required; visual site-based assessment including a range of practical flow and usage tests to help identify high consumption. Subsequent advice and suggestions to aid consumption reduction based on experience and knowledge. Completion of audit reports as per company requirements.

**Leak Detection**

Following training where required; using a range of available methods including but not limited to, C.A.T and Genny, listening stick, correlator, and ground microphone to identify the accurate location of leaks. Completion of leak reports to a standard acceptable by the Operations Manager/Operations Director enabling further leak repair works to be carried out by the company or their subcontractors.

**Automated Meter Reading (AMR) Logging**

Following training in AMR; be proficient in the use of the suite of AMR products as utilised by Waterscan. Completion of the physical installation of a range of AMR products and where appropriate minor installations of associated products. Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the above as the need arises and training permits.

**The Rewards**
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime
- You will also be given a company vehicle (estate car) & fuel card
- Annual leave - 21 days plus all bank and public holidays (increases to 23 days after 3 years’ service and 26 days after 5 years’ service)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£24,100.00 per year
