Salary Specifics

£9.75 per hour

(For staff that are not qualified to Level 3 in Children & Young people workforce)

£10.39 per hour if you are qualified to Level 3 in Children & Young people workforce or equivalent

Sleep ins incur an uplift of £30 per shift on your salary.

We provide excellent training before you start and will be supported and welcomed by the team, working 3-5 shifts shadowing an experienced RCW or Team Leader.

We are committed to supporting everyone to achieve their personal best which also includes or valued employees. Therefore, after successful completion of your probation we will fully fund and support you passing your Level 3 Children & Young people workforce.

Hours

This is a permanent, employed position. Consisting of an average of 172 hours per month on rota basis:
Normal shift hours are 0800 - 23:00 with Sleep Ins, number of sleeps required depends on the size of the home you will be working in but please talk to us regarding flexible working.

Duties & Skills

Do you have what it takes to encourage and help our children to live independently and guide and teach them with your own life experiences? To do this we believe you will need empathy, compassion, resilience and positive parenting skills.

The working day can be very unpredictable and you could find yourself spending the entire morning Organising activities and the afternoon providing 1:1 support. No two days are the same. The right type of person needs to be flexible, adaptable and to be able to read situations and help our young people make positive choices.

The type of day-to-day duties can include
- Providing encouragement (getting ready for school)
- Care Planning
- Transportation (use of company car)
- Meal Planning
- Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People
- Organising and facilitating Social Activities (out of school
- Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning shopping etc.)
- Liaising with external Stakeholders and our own multi-disciplinary team

Requirements for an Enhanced DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.

Licence/Certification:

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
