At APEM, our Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) Team is renowned for providing cutting-edge services across marine, freshwater, and terrestrial ecosystems. We are dedicated to assisting our clients in effectively managing INNS through a comprehensive range of services. From risk identification and assessment to surveillance and monitoring, as well as biosecurity and control plan development and implementation, our team operates dynamically, collaborating with other sectors within the APEM Group to deliver the most impactful outcomes. Our work is fuelled by a spirit of innovation, constantly seeking novel approaches to meet our clients' unique needs.

As a key member of our team, you will immerse yourself in a multifaceted environment, actively engaging in fieldwork, data processing, analysis, interpretation, and INNS management planning and presentation. You will work closely alongside our experienced team, contributing your expertise to projects and tenders. Your interpretation of INNS data will help assess the routes of impact and determine the most effective management actions to prevent further introduction/spread or potentially eradicate INNS.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

- A postgraduate degree with an emphasis in invasion biology.
- Clearly identifiable skills and expertise in the field of invasion biology.
- Experience in collaborative cross disciplinary working.
- Excellent Excel and Word skills.
- Excellent data management and analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Driving licence.
