Goodman Masson are honoured to be supporting Birmingham City Council, a vibrant city council which is expanding its Fire & Building Safety team. We're looking for experienced Fire Safety and Building Safety professionals to join the Council as Building SafetyManagers.

**The role**:

- Proactively manage several high-rise residential buildings across the Birmingham area, ensuring commitment to improvement
- Lead a team of Building Safety Officers
- Coordinate repairs, alterations, and installations
- Manage and represent the council in relation to the 'Safety Case' required by the Building Safety Regulator
- Ensure that building safety information is maintained to the highest standard

**About you**:

- We're looking for someone with experience working within either a local authority or housing association
- Experience conducting risk assessments and mobilising action in response
- Ideally experienced with leading a team, and managing contracts and contractors
- NEBOSH, IOSH
- IFE, IFSM

**Working with us**:

The Building Safety Manager will largely work remotely but some on-site visits will be required, such as to see the stock and attend meetings. The Building Safety Manager should be willing and able to travel to the Midlands but can live further afield
