Blackpool, United Kingdom Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Are you an experienced BACP accredited counsellor passionate about providing high quality counselling? Do you have significant counselling experience? Are you experienced in delivering counselling face to face and remotely?

The Service is focused on delivering high quality therapy, being amongst the highest performers in the area. We have consistently exceeded the national target of 50% recovery rate for over two years and our patient feedback is excellent. Investing in our team is important to us and we pride ourselves on the support we offer to staff.

It is an occupational requirement for applicants to bemale. This is due to our clients who access the service, making specific requests for a gender specific therapist. This is appropriate due to the sensitive nature of the therapeutic work being undertaken. At present the service is underrepresented with male counsellors, therefore the service is not able to meet the needs of our clients within appropriate timescales.

This will involve undertaking counselling suitability screening assessments, delivering counselling treatment interventions with clients face to face, via telephone, or video link, development and delivery of step 3 groups, and engaging in regular clinical and case management supervision.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.
