We are professional, agile, and our goal is to Hello, we’re Kahwati Roasters Coffee - UK’s only speciality middle eastern blend coffee roaster. We source high-quality coffee direct from farmers in 14 countries via our pioneering model. We roast all of our coffee on-site at our High Wycombe roastery and distribute to cafes, hotels, retailers and homes across the UK for coffee lovers to enjoy. **Responsibilities**:
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Work with production team to meet production goals.
- Monitor the production process and identify any issues that may arise.
- Assist in the setup and operation of production machinery.
- Perform quality control checks on products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Preparing and loading green coffee into the roasters in preparation for production
- Monitoring stock levels of raw and finished goods
- Operating production machinery to the required standards as set out in SOPs, such as manual filling machinery, automated filling machinery and other packaging equipment
- Managing start-up/shut-down processes at the start/end of each shift
- Performing quality assurance and testing checks, as required, to ensure that quality standards in production and packing are maintained
- Performing regular and preventative maintenance on packing machinery to ensure optimum production levels are maintained
- Assembling, packing and labelling the finished goods in preparation for shipment, ensuring shipping standards/deadlines are met
- Cleaning the machinery and other parts of the production space
- Noting machine faults and reporting to the Production Manager/Facilities Manager as required
- Maintaining work areas and equipment as required, ensuring adherence to and leading on strict health, safety and SALSA requirements
- Managing production waste following all waste management/ISO 14001 requirements
- This role is very much hands-on and given the nature of the job, some non-core hours and weekend working will be required. You will need to be physically fit to meet the requirements of the job as it will require good mobility, physical strength, the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy objects and the physical dexterity needed to use machinery. You will also need to work on foot for extended periods.
**Salary**: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
