TXM Recruit have an exciting opportunity with one of the UK's largest Rail companies based in Southport, are you an experienced Lean Practitioner looking for your next opportunity?

Role Overview:
You will work as part of the Continuous Improvement (CI) team within the Manufacturing Division. You will work in partnership with the Manufacturing leadership and operational teams to drive improvement activities, ensuring the business improvement plan is delivered on time and achieves the planned benefits and help to ensure that the business is utilising it's principles, systems and tools through coaching and facilitating.

Role Responsibilities:

- Provide process leadership and programme support for improvement activities in agreed areas of the Rail Division
- Lead improvement activities across agreed projects using the Six Step Methodology
- Support the delivery and sustainment of UW model lines across the Rail Division
- Support the implementation of digital innovation through process improvement activity
- Ensure a clear focus on data and quality
- Collate and communicate tangible benefits for process improvement activity
- Facilitate and lead CI activity through root cause to implementation of robust countermeasures and benefit delivery
- Ensuring alignment of UW principles across business processes and improvement activities
- Being a champion for all UW systems as necessary
- Supporting Operational Stakeholders with UW and CI activity, including attendance at site meetings
- Supporting adherence to the business Quality Management System
- Complete monthly reports on site Unipart Way and Continuous Improvement performance
- Drive the effective use of UW tools across the Division
- Attend regular Divisional Continuous Improvement team meetings to share best practice across the Division

Role Requirements:

- Experience working in a lean / CI role within a manufacturing environment, leading and driving change and improving processes using CI tools and techniques
- Experience delivering complex projects across the value stream
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and engage with multiple stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
- Project management experience - strong planning and organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines / targets
- Green belt six sigma is advantageous
- SAP experience is advantageous
- Manufacturing experience is essential, open to industries outside of Rail
