**Role Summary**

Eastleigh Health Primary Care Network (PCN) comprises four GP practices and serves a patient population of around 33,000. The Administrator will be part of the PCN team headed by the Clinical Director and PCN Manager, and a growing number of PCN staff including Mental Health Workers, Social Prescribers, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Clinical Pharmacists, and First Contact MSKs.

This role is pivotal to improving operational efficiencies within the PCN, so requires motivation and passion to deliver an excellent service. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload. You will be comfortable working independently and as a committed member of a team.

The starting salary will increase to £10.90 on successful completion of probationary period.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Proactively managing administrative tasks and coordinating activities across the Primary Care Network.
- Create and manage clinics in EMIS for PCN staff.
- Plan, book and organise papers and take minutes for quarterly PCN Management meetings. Disseminate minutes in a timely manner, chase progress against actions identified in these meetings and ensure follow up where necessary.
- Provide administrative support for weekly Mental Health Team MDT.
- Provide PCN staff members with administrative support such as running reports in EMIS to identify patients, booking patients into clinics, providing follow up patient communication as required.
- Recruitment and HR administration support for PCN staff members. Support practices to set PCN appointed staff up on EMIS and other systems as required.
- Support induction of PCN staff members.
- Organise training events and coordinate speakers.
- Ensure all staff are trained in the use of coding to ensure correct SNOMED are entered into EMIS.
- Meet regularly with PCN Manager to prioritise tasks.
- Respond professionally and efficiently to enquiries or requests for information, undertaking simple analysis of the information if required.
- Handling confidential information in a discreet, sensitive and diplomatic manner. Ensuring security of access to such information is maintained at all times.
- Provide general administrative and PA support.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build effective and efficient working relationships with Practice and PCN colleagues, taking a lead on specific routine pieces of work.
- Deal with requests and queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Accurately recording and maintaining information using Practice systems and producing simple reports when required.

This is a brand new role for the PCN, and the responsibilities may evolve over time.

You should either hold an administrative and clerical qualification or have equivalent knowledge and experience of office procedures, including a wide range of administrative systems and software. Previous experience of Primary Care or the NHS would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work as the role will be working across the Network, within the four practices in Eastleigh.

The post holder would need to be a car driver and have access to transport to travel between sites.

- GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above)
- Qualification in administration or clerical field, or equivalent experience.

**Experience**

**Essential**
- An understanding of clerical and adminstration duties demonstrated by relevant previous employment history of two years or more.

**Desirable**
- NHS/General Practice administration experience.

**Skills**

**Essential**
- Excellent organisational skills, able to plan and manage workload with competing priorities with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrate personal acountability, emotional resilience and work well under pressure.
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret information and present it in a clear and concise manner

**Desirable**
- Good system knowledge of EMIS
