To provide one-to-one and group support to young people experiencing low-level mental health issues which: improves resilience and protective factors, support enhancement of parenting and life skills as well as supporting young people to improve educational attendance and attainment. To work with parents and their children to increase the skills, confidence and abilities of all family members to live their daily lives in a positive and safe way.

The role will include:

- Making initial contact with families and relevant agencies for more information_
- Feeding back to referrers on what course of action has been agreed_
- Liaising with other agencies to refer young people on where appropriate_
- Engaging families and acting as Lead Professional for them in coordinating any other support needed._
- Following-up referrals and evaluating the process and effectiveness_
- Take referrals from a range of partner agencies including local education providers, Children’s Social Care and GP’s and carry out initial assessments with young people and their families._
- Work on a one-to one basis with the young person (and families where necessary and appropriate) to address the issues, help them develop coping skills and strategies and therefore build resilience and promote self efficacy._
- Promote the benefits of education, training and employment and offer support around this._
- Help with delivery_of school wellbeing workshops._

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: From £19,891.00 per year
