We are recruiting for a Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response Officer who shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The successful post holder will be expected to support the revitalisation of the Emergency Preparedness function across the organisation, and to embed resilience at the Strategic, Tactical and Operational levels.

As an EPRR Officer you will ensure that services and service personnel are prepared for most eventualities and be able to support during a Business Continuity, Critical or Major incident. Your role will also ensure that the organisation is compliant with the EPRR NHSE Standards and Framework.

To develop, implement and maintain emergency plans. Assist in the response to Major Incidents and Business Continuity disruptions, co-ordinating Training and Exercising with both internal and external stakeholders and agencies and making adjustments as necessary.

To develop, implement and review the planning and preparation of emergency planning and business continuity training programmes, exercises and events.

To research emergency planning and business continuity information and facts to make judgements and interpret information from a wide range of sources and differing options to provide effective training and awareness which is relevant to Trust needs.

To ensure face to face training has been completed in line with the programme of works set out by the Head of EPRR

To ensure the CBRN and Major Incident training programme is promoted to ensure awareness to all relevant staff. Providing complex and sometimes sensitive information to staff and visitors as necessary, using persuasion and reassurance skills
